Mark and Hayley, the original creators of Wedgie, originally met in 2007 on the exotic island of Sri Lanka. They lived on the island for nine years before meeting Mahendra, a native who just so happened to run a modest wooden handicraft business. And so, the Wedgie "empire" was established in 2014. With over 25 years in the industry and a strong history of dealing with handicrafts, Wedgies' selected supplier is still very committed to uplifting rural people today.
2014 saw the founding of Wedgie by Mark and Hayley. They had been residents of Sri Lanka the island for nine years prior to meeting Mahendra, a native who just so happened to own a small wooden handicraft company, when they first met in 2007. Wedgies' chosen supplier has been in the business for more than 25 years and has a long history of working with handicrafts. They are steadfastly devoted to improving rural communities. Daisy, a former classmate of Hayley's, entered the picture in 2015 as the final component of the Wedgie founding puzzle. with order to aid with distribution, a UK-based warehouse was established in 2018, which just so happens to be run by Sue & Mike, better known as Mark's parents. Wedgie, which has maintained its independence throughout the years, has grown quickly yet organically and today supplies more than 100 businesses worldwide. Wedgie is an enthusiastic crew that is thrilled to be a part of the door-to-door experience that is the creative ethical buying movement.
