Timeline and History of Baracuta
1937: John and Issac Miller start making the original G9 Baracuta at their Chorlton Street Factory in Manchester. The worlds first Harrington and worn by Elvis and most famously Steve McQueen.
1938: The Fraser Clan Chief, 24th Lord Lovat at Beaufort Castle to use the Fraser Tartan for Baracuta products lining. This has become a signature of Baracutas G9 harrington jackets.
1947: Baracuta starts international advertising
1960: Ryan O Neill plays the character Rodney Harrington in Peyton Place wearing a Baracuta G9 which earns G9 its all famous name Harrington
1966: Baracuta supplies coats for the world cup squad of 1966 and later also for the squad of 1970.
1981: The clash wears Baracuta jackets at the famous Times Square Concert.
Thierry Henry the FC Barcelona and Ex Arsenal player wears the classic G9 in the new Renault Clio advertisement. Daniel Craig the latest James Bond has also been seen wearing the classic G9 jacket.

Started as a classic shirt company in Brighton paying attention to details that no other shirt company did of that era. This British company adapted the idea of making a button down shirt inspired by polo players who wore similar shirts duringplay to keep the collars down. Today this company has come a long way since. The modern classic range is a new concept for Ben Sherman the name given to the collection does exactly what it says on the label. Brady Bags
A quality brand that has been going strong since the 1870s which was when the Brady borthers first started in Birmingham making leather gun cases. Since they have evolved as one would expect and moved into a full range of quality leather and Canvas bags all hand made still in the UK.
Lesley Taylor, the designer of Brady bags, joined the company in 2002, having spent the previous five years with Mulberry. Lesley has introduced new bags into the range and we quickly found that the quality values of a Brady bag appealed to a much wider audience and includes the “Discovery” range of bags which can be used as a travel item or as a fashion statement.

Clarks Originals
1950, 7th July, Clarks Originals produced a soft floppy ankle boot. This was the birth of the desert boot into the fashion scene. The desert boot has remained an iconic style since then. Adapted from Cairo Bazaar; Officers in the eighth army would have these types of shoes handmade. Nathan Clark a grandson of one of the founders took the desert boot to a groundbreaking global level. The end consumer loved the style and design, not to mention the unbelievable comfort ability.
Clarks Original Desert Boots, Clarks Original wallabees or even the desert treks are all original designs and the cheese sole unit (Crepe Rubber) is by far one of the most flexible and durable materials a shoe of this nature can boast. Converse
Founded in Malden, Massachusetts in 1908 by Marquis Mills Converse, Converse is a rubber shoe manufacturer, providing winterized rubber soled footwear for men, women and children.
Converse started producing athletic shoes for tennis in 1915 and then basketball shoes in 1917 with the introduction of the Converse All-Star basketball shoe. With involvement of the American basketball player Charles H. Chuck Taylor for promotion as a salesman and ambassador, Converse added the signature All Star patch in 1923 to its shoes. Later in 1960s, variety of colors were made available to represent the different basketball teams. Along with the colors, Low-Top or Oxford, High-top and later knee high, versions were produced by converse. Shoes were available in leather, vinyl, denim, suede and hemp.
Many punk rock fans switched to Converse as it became a fashion trend in the late 1970s and after. Bands such as Ramones have been associated with Converse. All stars became famous again as the fans of Kurt Cobain, Nirvanas leadman who had worn All-star for many years due to his influence on punk bands during his youth. "Borg Elite Gold - Now in Stock" amazingly we have waited nearly a year to quote that. But thankfully the Heritage project worked out and the stock came through. Diadora is a iconic brand with great heritage. It was the chosen one from Bjorn Borg to wear the classic Elite trainers dubbed Borg Elites.The style was made for tough game play with enough comfort to withstand hours and hours of proffesional tennis. Diadora also made the Ed Moses running shoes. Edwin Moses won wearing his Diadora shoes at the Olympics in 1984.

Edwin Jeans
Established in Japan 1947
Mr Tsunemi had a passion for denim, which inspired him to import them directly from the United States as no denim was manufactured in Japan at that time.
Used, worn-out and dirty denim which had to be laundered and mended by hand in order to sell on to his customers.
In 1951 domestically manufactured denim was available for the first time in Japan. This product was expensive and of inferior quality compared to its American counterparts.
Mr Tsumeni was driven to create his own denims, with greater sophistication in fits, washes and quality.
From this point on in Edwin denim history, quality, craftsmanship, innovation and integrity have been paramount to the ethos and aesthetic for the brand.
In 1961 Mr. Tsunemi crafted the first pair of Edwin denim jeans.
Utilising the letters D, E, N, I & M (reversing the M creating a W) he created the brand name ‘Edwin’.
By 1963 Edwin had produced the world’s heaviest ringspun denim jean (16oz), featuring the famous three-colour rainbow selvedge, which is still being used today.
In the 1970’s Edwin were the first company in the world to develop ‘old wash’ designed to replicate denim which have been worn from its rigid, unwashed state traditionally designed for workwear due to its durability.
In the 1980’s Edwin invented ‘stone washing’ which revolutionised the entire denim industry and was a pivotal moment in the evolution of denim manufacturing, thus influencing, every denim company in existence today.
In the 1990’s Edwin created the ‘new vintage’ denim concept, which encompasses the subtle beauty of hand replicating vintage washes from archive references pre-dating 1947.
Edwin is an authentic denim brand priding itself on innovation and craftsmanship, utilising exclusive fabrics and fabrication, unique technology, hand wash processes, and continual progression in design and fit.
Ellesse
1959: Founded in 1959, Leanardo Servadio in Perugia, Italy in 1959. Ellesse is a fusion between fashion and sports. Leanardo founded Ellesse as he couldnt find a good skiwear. Ellesse was named by Leanardo according to his initials L&S, elle-esse.
1960s: Ellesse explores the concept of innovative ski wear. In late 60s Ellesse discovers a performance enhancing fabric that should revolutionise the ski market.
1970s: The iconic Jet Pant is introduced which is a figure hugging and has padded knees.
1980s: Chris Evert, Boris Becker and Guillermo Villas wear Ellesse for their Tennis games. Ellesse becomes the official supplier to the national ski-teams and sponsors champion skier Mark Girardelli. Ellesse also sponsors the Italian soccer team, winners of the 1982 World Cup in Spain. 1982 adds yet another driver to the Ellesse lineup with sponsorship of the Ferrari F1 team and the star driver Alain Prost. Ellesse also sponsors the New York Marathon alongside Mercedes-Benz and Perrier.
1990s: In early 90s, Anna Kournikova, one of the top female tennis stars of the 90s and early 00s gets signed by Ellesse at a tender age of 9 and she goes on to win European championship and Italian Open at age of 14.

Fila Vintage
Given our inclination towards the bold and provocative, we made a dramatic debut as an elite sportswear brand with two things: the F-box logo and Björn Borg. The F-box became a design icon, and while Borg was on his way to becoming one of the greatest players in the sport’s history, we introduced cotton ribbed, fashionable designs in vibrant colors to conservative tennis whites. The game never looked the same again.
We started out in 1911 with the Fila brothers, who produced finely textured fabrics in the northern Italian town of Biella. We soon moved on to making undergarments and ultimately launched sportswear in 1973. We established ourselves early on in the game as a stylish, respectfully irreverent and quality sportswear maker. We have become a strong global brand driven by design and capable of influencing style on and off the playing field.
But we’re not just tennis. Worn by Ingemar Stenmark in his pursuit of 86 World Cup titles, we swept through alpine skiing. Fjall Raven
The story behind Fjällräven began in 1950 when Åke Nordin, a 14-year-old boy from Örnsköldsvik in Northern Sweden, was about to go for a trek in the mountains. Åke, who spent more time outdoors than indoors, did not like the backpacks that were available at that time. They always ended up like small, uncomfortable, pear-shaped bags down around his rear. He decided to take matters into his own hands and built a wooden frame.
The name Fjällräven means Arctic Fox in Swedish and the name is honoring the small predator which lives in the Swedish mountains in the harshest of climates. The out jackets use the same durable material which are used for the bags. Fjall Raven is a quality size adapted in this country by those that need a good outdoor jacket. Football fashion marked this label as an alternative to wearing Stone Island such is the quality of the jackets being produced.
Fred Perry
In the late 1940s Fred Perry was approached by Tibby Wegner, an Austrian footballer who had invented an anti-perspirant device worn around the wrist. Perry made a few changes and invented the sweatband. Wegner had a next idea to produce a sports shirt, which was to be made from white knitted cotton pique with short sleeves and buttons down the front. Launched at Wimbledon in 1952, the Fred Perry polo shirt was an immediate success. The brand is best known for its laurel logo, which appears on the left breast of the tennis shirts. The laurel logo (based on the old Wimbledon symbol) was stitched into the fabric of the shirt instead of merely ironed on (as was the case with the crocodile logo of the competing Lacoste brand).
The white polo shirt was only supplemented in the late 50s when the mods picked up on it and demanded a more varied colour palette. It was the shirt of choice for diverse groups of teenagers throughout the 1960s and 70s, ranging from the skinheads to the Northern Soul scene.
It regained popularity when British tennis star Andy Murray had it as his clothing sponsor.

Also the laurel collection encapsulates the original Made in England polo shirts made in archive inspired colours.

Gabicci Vintage 1973
The Gabicci brand first came into being when its two creators were inspired by a trip to the Italian seaside resort of Gabicce Mare. A mixture of East End rag trade expertise, sharp Italian styling and a nod to the 50s rock and screen icons. A unique look was born.
Gabicci clothing has always been on the smart side when it came to styling and being casual. The gold G product back then and once again today have become sought after products, exclusive but not commercial. Structured collars, piping detail, suede trims were part of the styling concept over 30 years ago, this brand was way ahead of its time. Gabicci was a benchmark for many other brands that tried to imitate, but only the original gabicci maintained the quality.
This season Gabicci and Gloverall the pioneers of the original duffel jacket, have made a collaberation to produce the ultimate smart fitted duffel coat for this winter 2009. Gloverall duffel jackets are renowned for exceptional quality around the world.

Founded by Ian Paley who is also the founder of One True Saxon, Garbstore offers the perfect blend with good designs in vintage fabrics. Garbstores clothing has an amazing eye for details making it one of the best brands to look out for today. Garbstore is mostly into making familiar clothing with a vintage twist to it. This ensures that the design will never go out of style.
Ian Paley previously worked at Paul Smith, designing their casual wear. Later he launched Paul Smiths sub brand R Newbold. Followed by R Newbold, he had some advertising stints at Burberry before launching his product line One True Saxon. Garbstore materialised after One True Saxon.

?The word Duffel originally referred to a Heavy Woollen Cloth closely woven for warmth and manufactured in the Belgian Town of Duffel. However over the years it has come to signify a hooded coat with distinctive toggle fastenings which was adopted by the British Navy and used by officers and men of the watch to protect against the biting Atlantic and North Sea winds. The toggles could be unfastened whilst wearing thick gloves, and hoods were carefully designed to fit over peaked Naval caps.
In 1951 Harold & Freda Morris who specialised in selling cotton, leather, Gloves and Overalls were approached the by the Ministry of defence to help dispose of their surplus supplies of World War II duffle coats. Mr Harold Morris then conceived the name Gloverall.

World renowned footwear from Northampton by two childhood friends Mark Jeffery and Guy West. Jefferys father ran a family owned shoe factory in the town. Initially they customised and sold products which were rejected at Marks fathers factory.
The company itself was found in 1987 after the sudden death of Jefferys father. Jeffery Wests diamond design pattern is inspired by both Gothic and Victorian Gothic revival architechture. Jeffery west offers a range of traditional gentlemans accessories, all handmade in England.

K-Way
K-way was born in Paris in 1965 with its first windbreaker. Leon-Claude Duhamel started K-way for people to protect themselves from rain. Kway jackets are lightweight, completely waterproof folded in a small hip bag. Kway sold more than 250,000 pieces in the first year itself.

Loake has been making handmade footwear since 1880. Loake was started in 1880 when three brothers Thomas, John and William in Northamptonshire, UK. Loake are perfect gentlemens shoes.
Till date Loake is a family owned business still operating in the same town. Loake has been operating globally and exporting to more than 30 countries. The most famous piece famous is the Goodyear welted footwear, which take eight weeks to produce. Around 130 skilled craftsmen, upto 75 shoe parts and approximately 200 different operations are involved.
With time Loake has integrated new designs into its classic shoes collection making it complete for all generations. Loake was awared a Royal Warrant of Appointment to the Queen in 2007.
Lois
Saez Merino brothers started Lois jeans in Spain at the beginning of 60s. Bands like ABBA, celebrities and public figures like Bjorn Borg or Johan Cruyff have been some of the main characters who advertise the lois chords. Lois chords became very famous in Europle and was very much a favorite of many casual clothing lovers back in the golden era.
Luke of 1977
Luke was started by Luke Roper with help from his friends Simon and Deborah Poole. Luke Roper was born in Walsall and was son of a talented wedding dressmaker. Inheriting his skills from his father, he quickly learnt using a sewing machine and became interested in learning about the entire process of producing garments. Soon he was making shirts for his friends which started to become a hit soon.
Luke took a 3 year specialist menswear design degree at the Central Saint Martins College of Fashion in London. Taking the job of a junior designer with a major brand gave Luke enough information he needed to start his own label. Soon in May 2001, the Luke label was born along with some help from Simon and Deborah Poole.

Donrad Duncan along with Massimos son and daughter Lorenzo and Agata has started MA Strum with some very quality clothing from the Osti Studio since its inception in 1970.
Donrad Duncan was a former designer for Victorinox clothing and MA Strum definitely looks like a label which will make some strong impact. Taking inspiration and desings from Massimo Ostis studio, who was the driving force behind some of the most successful Italian labels like Stone Island, CP Company, Left hand, Bonneville and more recently Massimo Osti double use.

Original Penguin
Pete the Penguin was born on an airplane! The idea to start Penguin hit Abbot Pederson while he was travelling back to Minneapolis from NYC in 1955. Having some time of kill, he decided to wait in a local bar and ended up buying a penguin from some shop at Manhattan and named it Pete.
On the flight back, he knocked off Pete the penguins head in the flight and some stewardess who wrapped Abbots tie around Petes neck said that such a well dressed bird should be immortalized or maybe even embroidered on a shirt similar to one Abbot Pederson was wearing.
And this was how the label was born with Pederson who himself was a keen golfer launched the first golf shirt which was casual, comfortable and equally at home on the 18th hole or the 19th hole.
Today Penguin is being sold globally with exclusive luxury retailers and Penguin is bigger and better than ever.
Today one of the very famous design from Penguin is the Earl polo which has become a signature of Original Penguin and is also available in variety of colors.

In 2008, Paraboot celebrated a hundred years of existence and pure excellence. Paraboot was started by Remy Alexis Richard in 1908 and is still being run by the Richard family. 4 generations of Richard family have made sure that Paraboot remains at its very best and improve constantly.
Even though the label was born in 1908, it was not until 1927 that the name Paraboot was registered. In the same year, Paraboot manufactured their first rubber soles.

Persol Glasses
1910 - 1930: Persol Glasses was started by Giuseppe Ratti in Turin 1917, who was the owner of Berry Opticians. He started to make the glasses in a small courtyard in Via Caboto to make technically advanced glasses for pilots and sports drivers who need more from their glasses.
1930 - 1950: With developments and improvements in the Protector model, Persols trademark was created ( persol from per il sole meaning from the sun which shows its enhanced function of protection against the suns rays )
1950 - 1970: The 649 model, which was built for tram drivers in Turin was created in 1957. This model became a legend and was very successful over the years and was copied in different forms and style by Persols competitors. In 1961, 649 truly outclassed its competitors when Marcello Mastroianni who wore them in the movie Divorce Italian Style.
1970 - 1990: This era extended the considerable attention that Persol had always paid to the advancement in its products with respect to innovation and the care for its products.
1990 - Today: With the rise in popularity, Persol was amongst the stars and in early 1990s the Italian actress Omella Muti was signed and a special pair of glasses were created for her. This was the elegant 830 model which was dedicated entirely to the star Omella Muti. Later in 1993-94, Carol Alt was signed by Persol and was also dedicated a special pair of glasses i.e the Carol 853 model.
