Founded in London by British photographer Adam Brown, Orlebar Brown has been the mark of the Riviera lifestyle since its launch ten years ago in 2007. Forward thinking in its approach to finding the perfect garment as a crossover for both beach and casual wear, the label is now about much more than a pair of perfectly tailored shorts.
Now evolved from the label that was world renowned for producing luxurious swimwear, the label has grown up to firmly recognised for crafting high-quality full resort collections season after season. Sticking with the inspiration is no daunting task, with the ever changing theme season after season, however, the Orlebar Brown aesthetic is still inspired by Slim Aarons’s iconic photographic works of the 60’s Riviera and Palm Beach lifestyle. His work symbolises what Adam Brown’s take on holiday-wear and swimwear should be. Smart and luxurious.
Sticking with the labels roots the Spring/Summer 2017 Orlebar Brown collection draws inspiration from another icon of the 60’s
whilst sticking with the overall brand theme of the Riviera lifestyle. Paying homage to iconoclastic artist Pablo Picasso and his French Riviera home in Villa La Californie, the collection makes reference to sartorial style of the clothes he wore whilst also makes clever use of stripes as well as a new seasonal colour palette of muted pastels and oceanic shades that have been enlivened with warm Pomodoro.
